CountyFusion Advanced Installation Notes

For system administrators managing multiple workstations, there is an option of manipulating our setup.exe. First, you must extract the "setup.exe" from self-extracting CountyFusionInstall.exe using the 7zip utility. When setup.exe is invoked without any parameters (property specifications), installation will prompt for PrintSvc server URL and for 'feature'. Optionally, installation may allow choice of "per-user" installation. Such prompts can be pre-empted by specifying the following setup.exe parameters:

/vAPP_BASE_URL={URL}
/vAPP_FEATURE={county|town}
/vAPP_PER_USER={0|1}

A last-ditch install can be done by downloading CountyFusion.zip file and expanding it into a folder on the local machine that the user has full access to, such as:
C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\Kofile\fusion

Once expanded, perform the following installation steps from 'launch directory' above:

call "...\fusion\CountyFusion.bat bootstrap" - bootstrap will download remaining files and assure code in CountyFusion is up-to-date
create desktop shortcut to ...\fusion\CountyFusion.bat using icon CountyFusion.ico

After the initial install, on each invocation the system will load the latest code under CountyFusion folder and will automatically update the code when it changes with no additional assistance needed.

The drawback of this approach is that using this method does NOT enter CountyFusion into the Windows programs list, and the application file tree must be removed manually.
